Care, community, and connection are at the heart of everything we do, through RMHC India. Our mission is to #keepfamiliesclose, bringing smiles and joyful moments to those who need them most. This September, we are celebrating 9 years of RMHC India. In 2016 we introduced this global mission to India with our commitment to community wellbieng.
Through McDonald’s RMHC, we provide care centres (care rooms) for families of patients in need, within and outside hospitals and medical centres, completely free of charge. These care rooms make a significant difference in the lives of the patients and their loved ones who visit the hospital.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room
This space is one where patients and their caregivers can relax and unwind with activities and spend time together – all within a hygienic environment, with the latest facilities and medical staff close-by.
We have two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in Maharashtra: one, within the Outpatient Department of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai (set up in 2016), and the second – opened in 2024, at Government Cancer Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).
Community Month 2025, and celebrations with the sweetest! 🎈
Honouring these joyful traditions, we partnered with Catalysts for Social Action (CSA), an Indian non-profit organisation that works towards enhancing child protection systems. Through this partnership, our merry McDonald’s crew from our Ambernath (Mumbai) outlet visited the local CSA centre, bringing joy to 30 young faces.
A regular day for these children was transformed into a 3-4 hours long celebration filled with story-telling, food, and lotsa laughter. Of course, yummy McDonald’s India burgers were part of the cheery vibes too – we served the little ones our burgers with our new Protein PLUS slice for some extra wholesome goodness. ☺️ Now it can’t be a proper McDonald’s celebration without a birthday party! We started the Community Month with a birthday party celebration by associating with the Catalysts For Social Action (CSA). Our crew members visited one of the local CSA’s center to celebrate with the underprivileged kids. It was a day filled with food, smiles, fun, games and laughter. Our Ambernath (Mumbai) restauarant store crew and the kids had a lovely time. We look forward to more of these!

There’s a way you can give back too! When you pay for your order at McDonald’s India, you can choose to round-up your bill total to the nearest 10. If your McDonald’s India order value is ₹443, you can add ₹7, making the total ₹450. The extra amount goes to McDonald’s RMHC India. On your bill online, once you’ve added items to your cart, you’ll see a box above Total Charges that reads Donate ₹3 for RMHC India, you can check that box, and edit the amount if you wish. Your contribution means a lot!
