McDonald’s India (West and South) is beloved by our fans – old and young. In these (almost) 3 decades, we’ve made an impression on your minds, on your hearts, and on your taste buds too! It’s exciting to give you OG favourites – from our famed fries and chicken burgers to innovative veggie burgers and oh-so-many sides. But what’s better is crafting menu items that speak to your distinct tastes and feel good for you too…

Yes, it’s true! 🥰 Our Real Food, Real Good journey started with you ❤️

Real Food, Real Good highlights McDonald’s India (West and South) menu items that are FREE from Artificial Colours, Artificial Flavours, and there’s NO Added MSG in our chicken offerings too.

Ever since our Real Food, Real Good journey began, we’ve only looked forward and dreamt bigger. In the past two years, our dreams became real or well, Real Food, Real Good when we introduced two brilliant add-ons. ❤️

These two products were crafted in partnership with the esteemed CSIR-CFTRI. Serving the purpose of an add-on, so wholesomely, they bring a little more to your favourite burger at McDonald’s.

#1 is the Multi-Millet Bun, launched in 2024, and #2, our Protein PLUS slice, launched in 2025.

The Multi-Millet Buns contain the richness of 5 nutrient-dense millets: Bajra, Ragi, Jowar, Proso, and Kodo. This Real Food, Real Good addition specifically because millets are beloved in Indian households. Packed with high protein, fibre, and antioxidant content, we wanted to craft an add-on

that could be enjoyed alongside our McDonald’s burgers.

The next one on our Real Food, Real Good journey is the Protein PLUS slice. 100% vegetarian, this add-on is made of pea protein and soy protein. It ups your protein intake while enjoying your favourite burger. The Protein PLUS slice contains 5 grams of protein, and has no artificial colours and no artificial flavours or preservatives.

Crafting and perfecting the Protein PLUS slice took meticulous research, rigorous testing, and thoughtful innovation. For our fans’ specific tastes, the Protein PLUS slice is also made with NO onion, garlic, or root vegetables.

Did you know that following the launch of our Protein PLUS slice at our West and South restaurants, earlier this year – we served more than 32,000 Protein PLUS slices (in total) within 24 hours?!!! 🫂

Happy add-ons, with the good word added by India’s fave, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor!

These launches are also super special as we partnered with Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor on both of them. A beloved personality within the Indian culinary industry, Chef Sanjeev took our launches further.

Chef Sanjeev has always been vocal when it comes to promoting millets. He is also the first person to have prepared Millet Khichdi for the President of India! Enough can’t be said about his achievements, charms, and wits – Thank you, Chef Sanjeev, for collaborating with us to promote our wholesome products on this Real Food, Real Good journey.
