You can be certain, at McDonald’s India, it’s about good food, good food, and good food! Today being World Food Day, we couldn’t think of a better time to share how your favourite burgers at McDonald’s are made 🍔🤤✨
Here’s THE surprise.
We were documented by none other than Brut. India! Taking their viewers and our fans on a visual journey, their latest feature documents everything, from start to tray. Let’s go!
Stars of the show: McDonald’s India’s McVeggie® Burger and McSpicy™ Chicken Burger
Matching our love for details, Brut. India’s keen eyes began their noting at our facilities – first, our separate veg and non-veg food storage sections and preparation stations. Vista Foods is where our burgers begin their story – delicious patties, freshly made, daily.
The Patty of our McVeggie® Burger is put together at the Madanapalle facility near Bengaluru. Sure it is cool watching ingredients come together, seeing our patties moulded into round shapes, coated, and then par-fried huh? Try not to drool!
The patty of McSpicy™ Chicken Burger starts their journey at Taloja, Navi Mumbai, where the best chicken pieces are selected and passed through an X-Ray machine to check for foreign objects. Once in the clear, the pieces are shredded, marinated, and tumbled. Post being shaped into their classic forms, the marinated chicken pieces are coated and par-fried. A well-kept secret at McDonald’s India? Well, we lay it all on the table for you! Our chicken patties are misted with water, post par-frying, giving each patty a shine. There’s a final check for defects before the patties are good to go.
There is human intervention at every crucial step in our burger creation to maintain that i’m lovin’ it quality you trust. Optimal temperatures at our facilities are maintained, everyone on the work-floor meets several hygiene and safety checks at the food preparation and food handler levels. This is highlighted by Bhupinder Singh, MD & CEO at Vista Processed Foods – food handlers complete a week of training before beginning their important work! A software programme even detects sanitation levels of our food handlers.
Witness our Real Food, Real Good tenet in action!
Our select foods are free from Artificial Colours, Artificial Flavours, and Artificial Preservatives, with NO added MSG too.
World Food Day has given us a chance to talk about what we love best. Our very own, Chef Swarup Solgaonkar affirms our commitment to fine-quality ingredients, integrity, and overall sustainability when it comes to burger creation.
Before we finish… Buns! Yes, buns!
Buns are the ones keeping your McDonald’s burgers together, pun intended – oops, Bun intended! Lakhs of buns are freshly made, every day, at Bakebest Foods – isn’t it mesmerising to watch the soft buns travel on the conveyor belt, perfectly formed, dotted with sesame seeds? The buns are also further assessed at the QC lab.
