We celebrated the 8th Anniversary of McDonald’s RMHC in India at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai where a special room is set up for these kids and their families!
As you know, the Ronald McDonald House Charities® (India) is committed for the wellbeing of the children undergoing cancer treatment and their caregivers too – through donations, smiles, and more.
As part of the Ronald McDonald House Charities® (India) mission of keeping families close, we have the comforting Ronald McDonald Family Room (RMFR) set up within the Outpatient Department of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital. Patients and parents can relax and unwind here, partake in activities in the play area, read books, have refreshments within a hygienic environment all with medical staff, close by.
Our 8th RMHC India Anniversary celebration with the kids was filled with laughter, warmth and sweetness all around. It was an unforgettable occasion, starting with a cake-cutting ceremony that the parents and kids partook in!
There was lightening of the lamp ceremony, followed by the sweetest Thank you cards and speeches given by the kids. There was a presentation of the new merchandise and our fries partners, the kindly McCain also came by to present all parents with hygiene kits.
Another year goes by, and our efforts for the RMHC India continue
Our RMHC initiatives are important to us because it’s about community welfare – it’s a sweet feeling bringing smiles where they’re needed the most, and providing emotional relief and respite when it’s counted on, the most. These anniversary celebrations also remind us to participate in crucial conversations, while building community support – overall.
