On the eve of the 45th anniversary of World Earth Day, McDonald’s gave earth and its humanity the best gift of all. On 21 April, 2015, the global corporation pledged to end deforestation across its entire supply chain. The World Wildlife Fund which advised McDonald’s on its new commitment said that this announcement could inspire other fast food chains to follow suit.
