Instances of crowd violence at Euro 2016 have been all over the news lately. The images and videos are fierce and disturbing and security has been boosted ahead of next week’s games.
Amongst the many initiatives taken to spread a message of peace and unity, McDonald’s outdoor ads for Euro 2016 are bringing nations together, quite literally.
The ads show fans holding scarves in the colours of two countries, supporting both of them together. So Sweden and Italy become Swetaly, England and Slovakia become Englakia, Poland and Germany become Polmany, and so on.
The campaign team has carefully placed the posters and hoardings at crucial locations. Fans are responding well to these ads.
